D.C : A.D 3000
Upon seeing this photograph, I was reminded of two things:
1) I have been to Washington, D.C.
2) That place has the most badass future-hell tube stations.

Ron Livingston turns up in the best fucking places
This man, like a crazy apparition, appearing on screen to let me know I am having a good time. Seldom in the titles, never in the trailer; he suprises me, and always to agree that Yes, this is a great film I’m watching. A good time I’m having.
Doubt is vanquished.
What a man.

Outer Space, Inter Net
The International Space Station now has Internet access. I wonder what their ping is like, and how long it is until the first virus makes the jump off-world to their PC.
They have a fucking Twitter page, of course.

It Is That Time Of Year
It’s been a while since I’ve written here, but university is done for the moment, and the holidays approach, so perhaps that will change soon.

I Love Jason Scott
“You’re stupid and I hate you. I haven’t even met you, don’t even know where you are or what else you do, and I hate you.
It’s 7 in the morning. I’ve been doing a lot of not sleeping lately. I’ve been doing a lot of not sleeping for months. I’ve been working on backing up hundreds of gigabytes of data that you decided to delete. I hate you.”

Fools' Goal
Dear fearful citizens,
Please don’t try to censor those with bullshit ideas.
Don’t cut them out, don’t let them feel victimised.
Force the fuckers to explain themselves, and watch their world crumble.
Let the cunts hang themselves with their own words.
Ta,

If You Ever Want To Get Anything Done, Do It In...
Seriously.
GUI bells and whistles will only slow you down, and you can be pretty sure that plain text files will be readable by the software of the future, unlike crazy proprietary formats. If your work is about words, leave your spell checks and font sizing until you’re ready to publish, and you’ll be more productive.

The Return Of Silverface
mrsilverface:
Oh god! It’s Mr Silverface!
Si is having a BAD day. To watch it in HD (looks badass full screen) go here.
Myself, Andrew Dillon, Christian Lapidge and Ned Wilson-Eames made the music ourselves. It was recorded by Ned in his epic “shed”!

Restraint
“On learning of Herzog’s decision to remake his controversial 1992 drama [Bad Lieutenant] as a New Orleans cop thriller starring Nicolas Cage, Ferrara expressed the wish that the makers of the new version should all “die in hell”.”

The Guitar Store
I drove round America a couple of years ago. It was a whole lot of fun. One of the coolest things about America is that they build big shit to fill up the large gaps between the large cities of their large country. Huge fruit? Sure! Enormous Cows? Oh yeah! Massive Jesuses? But of course! They fucking love it, and it makes the long, long drives a bit more exciting when you see the silhouette of a...

The Greatest Music Is Secondary
On the evening of October 31st, 2008, some time around midnight, I was standing in a parking lot in Florida, at the back of a hire truck full of instruments and amps and a band. Several hundred other people stood around me, an excited chatter filled the air. Somewhere, a generator fired up and guitars fed back. The crowd cheered, and I was totally drunk. The band burst into a song, and almost...

If You're A Mac, Or You're A PC, Then You're A...
Don’t let a piece of fucking software define your life.
The stupidest thing about this whole mess is that MACS ARE FUCKING PERSONAL COMPUTERS.
Holy shit.
I happen to prefer using Linux, which is software that runs on a PC, just like Mac OS and Windows, and just like Mac OS and Windows, I now have a shitty advert to make me feel like part of some fucking movement.
